The Legacy
Fillipo Brunelleschi has had a huge impact on the architectual world. Brunelleschi's biggest impact was his work on the San Lorenza church. The Medicci's, who were a very wealthy family back then hired Brunelleschi to design a church for them. This was one of the biggest highlights of his career. Brunelleschi opened the doors for new ideas nowadays. The Renaissance Era was a time for new things or "rebirth" so architects were trying new things. As you can see, it worked and this gave architects of the future to try new ideas and improve on the old work. The Renaissance was all about fitting human needs instead of divine needs. That is what Brunelleschi did. He was focused on pleasing the humans instead of hiself or his divine needs. Today, art isn't about satisfying anybody, just making a work of architecture that will be remembered. The Renaissance had a great impact on the architects of today.
